d e c i d e d t h a t w e c o n t i n u e doing the newsletter. Many folks
have told us that they use our
newsletter as a way to keep up with events at our churches. So, if you
have news to share, get the
information to your newsletter contacts and ask them to forward it to us
here at Buchanan First. NEWSLETTER
CONTACTS: Just a reminder to please send items in to us
by the deadline. The deadline for
the August newsletter will be
Tuesday, July 19.
It takes me at least
3 or 4 days to get the material
organized and printed and ready for mailing. Please make every effort
to have your church’s news in on
time.

Don’t forget the events that have
been scheduled for Outreach for Christ 2011.
The
schedule is as follows: the Hurley
area event is scheduled for July 14 at the park.; the Grundy-Vansant
area event will be held July 21 at
Grundy High School; the event for the Oakwood area will be July
28 at the Appalachian College of
Pharmacy; and the event for the Council area will be August 4 at the
William P. Harris Park. The planning
committee has been working hard to bring these events together;
more volunteers are needed. We ask
for prayers and everyone’s commitment to attend and work
together to reach others for Christ.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work together and show our
interest in reaching out to our
community.
First Sergeant Mike Honaker, a
chaplain with the Virginia State Police, will be the speaker for
the Grundy area event on July 21 at
Grundy High School. Tracy Fletcher will be our emcee; Kemper
Bausell will be in charge of the
music.
We need volunteers! Contact Mary Yates, Mary Ruth
Spencer or Tracy Fletcher if you
want to be a part of this exciting event.
Please be in
prayer that
we can reach out to our communities
and lives will be touched and changed. Our thanks is extended
to all who have worked to make these
events successful!
