BIBLE SCHOOL 2007
During June 2007, we joined together
with six other churches [3 Presbyterian and 3 United Methodist] for an
intergenerational Vacation Bible School experience at TMI Park in Oakwood,
Virginia. Based on the curriculum "Galilee by the Sea," all
participants were enrolled into one of the clans of Israel, e.g. Dan,
Naphtali, Joseph, Benjamin, Judah, Simeon. They learned about every
day life and customs through lessons, crafts, games, dramas, and food.
We are grateful for the leadership of Janie Owens (Oakwood Presbyterian Church), Tom Witten (Garden United Methodist Church), Phyllis Cantor (Vansant and Oakwood Presbyterian Churches), and Jeff Porter (Buchanan First Presbyterian Church).
